An Apple A Day
To Tim Cook,
I am writing to thank you and Apple for putting so many wonderful devices into all of our hands, our wrists, and our ears. To think that it all started with the development of the “personal” computer and the movement to bring computing power to the people! Now that I’ve thanked you, I’d like to make a request. Could you place “No Kings” posters on the front doors of every Apple store across the land? This would be a terrific and very meaningful way to empower your customers at this inflection point in the history of America and Democracy.
President Trump has declared war on America’s cities. He is trying to add the military to his private army, ICE. He has sent federal troops to Chicago to intimidate and provoke, so that he can use the response as an excuse to take more power from the people. What do you think Steve Jobs would say about this?
Apple is a pillar of the American economy. As CEO, you are in a position to raise your voice and stand up to this bullying in a way that others can’t. I guarantee that if you did so, millions would stand up for you. So I’m asking for a simple gesture, perhaps here in Chicago at the Apple Store that occupies the site where Chicago was founded. A big sign saying “No Kings.”
Thank you for considering,
Neal Spira, Current Loyal Customer
Owner Iphone, Ipad, Macbook Air
